What’s with the updates lately? I’ve been enjoying sidecars lately, and checked the previous recipe: what I’m drinking doesn’t match what I’m selling… For shame.
Here’s an updated version for you to enjoy. News flash: there’s a shitload of booze inside…

FAQs
- Shake here, don’t shake there – what gives? >> Shaking for this drink “opens-up” the lemon. Do it, and don’t ask questions.
- Is there a rocks version of this drink? I like ice >> Sure. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Done.
- What about a sugary rim? >> Years ago, I wanted to elevate my game from beer to cocktails. I ordered a sidecar at a place in Chicago, and was presented with a sugary rimmed drink in a cocktail glass – it looked like a carnival. WTF? Done properly, this is a drink for a man.
- Is that a lot of alcohol? Seems like a lot >> Yes, it is. Recipes I’ve seen call for 1:1:1 cognac/triple sec/lemon. I’ve leaned to the cognac a bit.
